With the best will in the world, the best way to describe it is by stating the rules, so here they are!
The game will cost £1 per person to enter
Each entrant will be invited, in turn, to the pool table, to take one shot. They will attempt to pot any ball bar the white in keeping with the laws of pool.
(If a player has to 'break', they may have two shots if required).
Failure to pot a ball will forfeit a 'life'
Males will normally get three lives, Females will get four. These may be adjusted prior to commencement of the game should numbers of entrants dictate, but females will usually get an extra life.
The players will continue to play, in turn, until only one has survived. The Winner. Hip hip hooray.
The winner must play at least as many shots as the last person out (So, for Instance, if Bill went first in the game, followed by Fred, if Bill misses and Fred is the only person left, Fred must pot a ball to finish the game. If Fred missed, Bill would still be in.)(Trust me, my Dad was a doctor).
A winner will then be subject to a one-life forfeit for the following ten weeks. This will prevent any one person dominating proceedings.
The winner will receive one gallon of beer, but may negotiate for a Babycham (See Steve Kidd)
Each entrant at the end of the game will have a shot at
'The Lucky Seven', which is an excellent opportunity to win the Jackpot. (All entry money will go into this Jackpot)The Referees decision is final, despite what it says here!
